Olympic dreamers

Photo

My daughter Caitlyn and I love to ice skate on the frozen water of the Westchester Lagoon. As we glide across the smooth hard surface of the ice we pretend to be Olympic ice dancers. performing our latest choreography for our cheering audience. (A Labrador retriever and a few kindergartners.)

When the daylight fades into a beautiful sunset the sight is like a poem being recited by Mother Nature herself. As the stars begin to twinkle we rekindle a common joy that's been locked away only to be revealed by the beauty of this place.

The smell from the warming barrels filling the cold air is similar to the fragrant aroma of Christmas just past. Even old man winter would feel warm from the ambiance of this wonderful place.

We laugh and spin and play for hours on end. This is why we call Alaska home, there's no where else I've found with this much fun, charisma, lovely scenery, and emotional effect. We love Westchester!

My name is Kate Marang, and I live a Big Wild Life!™
